NOVELIC’s ASPER 79 GHz mmWave radar modules cover 180° field of view (FoV) with only one radar integrated circuit, enabling robust BSIS (blind spot information system), MOIS (moving off information system) and Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEB) functionality for commercial and transportation vehicles.

A compact, cost effective solution
Compared to existing solutions on the market, NOVELIC’s sensor is significantly smaller, while achieving a wide 180° field-of-view with only one radar chip.
Radar data processing is done on the module itself, with processed data being sent over a CAN interface, or an automotive-grade wireless interface. This enables easier integration and a lower system cost for vehicles that may not necessary have a CAN network in place. The sensor can thus be easily employed in aftermarket solutions, for retrofitting.
The same module is used for blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, moving-off information systems, and front/rear collision warnings for semi-trailer trucks, buses, dump trucks and more. AUTOSAR and cybersecurity functionality can be provided as needed.
