A novel approach to ARAS
NOVELIC’s patented ASPER 79 GHz radar sensor platform covers a field-of-view of 180° with only one radar chip, making for a cost-effective front radar and rear radar solution.
All the necessary data processing is done on the module, enabling OEMs to integrate the sensor via a wired CAN interface or automotive-grade wireless connection, even without a CAN network in place. This enables warnings to be displayed on the motorcycle’s HMI, LED indicators on the rearview mirror, or through a smart helmet.

These scenarios pose a challenge to present-day motorcycle radar sensors, due to their limited range and field-of-view. Due to the 50ms update rate and 130m max range at 0°, ASPER radar sensors detect static and moving targets on time to provide life-saving alerts to riders.
