NOVELIC Presents Revolutionary 360° ASPER Perception System at MOVE America

MOVE America, the world’s most important urban mobility event, took place in Austin, TX on September 27-28, 2022. As one of the exhibitors, NOVELIC debuted its 360° short-range radar program (ASPER), including a pioneering system that warns the driver of jackknifing and offers coupling guidance. 

NOVELIC’s ASPER program enables 360° environment perception around the vehicle. This sensing platform can be used for many short-range ADAS applications, including parking sensors, blind spot detection, city brake, and autonomous parking assistance. Since ASPER is based on short-range radar technology, it works in all weather and lighting conditions. In addition, the sensors require no cleaning or maintenance, which sets radar-based solutions apart from other sensor technologies. 

Along with the ASPER program, NOVELIC has presented VBG Driver Assist, a truck–trailer coupling radar module developed for our client VBG that provides jackknifing warning and coupling guidance for truck drivers. NOVELIC was in charge of the solution and product development until industrialization.
